Given: 2+2 is the commingling of two duos, Sweet Lips & Touch Me, Don’t Forget Me. The show was the presentation that documents the process and result of a game - one designed to find common footing between the two duo’s, and bridge their sets of practices.
Sweet Lips is an avant-pop & sound art duo consisting of Owen Kurtz & Sierra Weston. They have exhibited their past audio installation “ARTPOP & Us” at the plumb, Summer 2025 and have released an EP in 2024 called “Sweet Lips Debut”.
Touch Me Don’t Forget Me, is a shared research practice between Elena Kirby and Masumi Rodriguez, involving material making and fibre processing of “invasive” plant species and the relationships connected with these plants.
The show run from October 19th until November 3rd at 24 hr atm lotto, an emerging artist-run space in Toronto.
